  • Traditional parenting with Elder which includes snack, beverages and lunch
  • Drop in with preschool age children for crafts; yoga, and child safety equipment
  • Grocery gift cards for parents, or caregivers residing in Duck Lake or Rosthern with children up to age 6
  • Regalia classes for children (ie. moccasins, beading, ribbon skirt, ribbon shirt)
  • Bannock baking and crafts at Stobart Community School (After School Program)
  • Gardening classes includes supplies and instruction;  Lending Library 
  • Resources/brochures for child development, youth, pre & post natal client;
  • Promote courses offered online by Saskatchewan Prevention Institute

The support received through this department has allowed Willow Cree Health Services to work collaboratively with government and community partners, both Indigenous and non-Indigenous to serve the needs of children and parents. Through partnerships the CAPC has worked collaboratively with a range of people, and organizations including Elders, Pëmiska Tourism, Knowledge keepers, Saskatchewan Prevention Institute, Constable Robin Cameron Education Centre, Stobart Community School, and a range of other Willow Cree Health and BOCN departments.
